About The Role

As a blu-3 Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of commercial processes, supported by the wider project team and reporting into a Managing Quantity Surveyor. Those commercial processes include but are not limited to, recognising and pricing variations, managing subcontractor accounts, identifying and mitigating risks, and controlling costs. You will be responsible for producing applications for payment, and feed into the monthly CVR reporting. The role will require you to be present on-site full time.

Key Role Deliverables
  • Raising contractual Event Notices
  • Assess the impact of client design changes & pricing Variations
  • Confident in leading weekly commercial meetings with the client to progress the change account
  • Managing Subcontractor accounts, including compiling subcontract documents for MQS review, assessing Subcontractor change, and valuing Subcontractor Applications
  • Identifying projects risks and opportunities; mitigating &/or maximising where applicable
  • Measuring progress in period and producing blu-3’s monthly Application for Payment
  • Tracking and advising the project team on planned vs actual spend
  • Feeding into monthly CVR reporting, led by MQS
  • Based on site full time
 
Minimum Qualifications/Experience
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar
  • Experience working for a Civils Contractor/ Subcontractor
 
Essential and Desirable Skills
  • Knowledge of FIDIC Contracts
  • Advanced MS Office capability, specifically Excel
  • Right to work in Europe
  • Open to moving between international projects
  • Able to operate and deliver effectively in pressured environments
